Welcome to IACREOT, the affordable professional association. Our conference will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the land of enchantment and has been carefully planned so that you will only have to be out of the office for two business days.  Although our education will cover all the hot button issues in your field, we will also emphasize office security and budget challenges for the conference education. Write June 29^th to July 1^st on your calendar for training that you can use in your office on a daily basis. IACREOT is all about ‘real issues for real officials’.

 

Now is an exciting time for our organization. Like you, we have been working with budget cuts and travel restrictions, but we are stronger and more efficient because of it.  We will be offering more services and working more closely with our membership. We have reinvented our organization and are providing more for less. That is the real issue of the day. Our Semi-Annual Meeting will be held in Alexandria, Virginia on January 8^th and 9^th, where we will continue to develop our organization and education to meet your future demands. Be prepared to roll up your shirt sleeves, but add an optional trip to Mount Vernon for a visit to our past.

 

IACREOT truly is a membership run professional organization for public officials. Our meetings, education and committees allow you to provide leadership within in your field and to tap into the experiences of others. Therefore, I am proud to announce a new program, the IACREOT Exchange, as the only opportunity of its kind. It encourages our members who have implemented new or different systems to share with other members at a minimal cost. Two of our members observed each other’s elections, one in Sweden and one in Missouri. They stayed in each other’s homes and shadowed each other at work for a week for only the cost of airfare and a few meals. Whether it is a bar coding system for court documents or a mail sorting system for a Register of Deeds, our members are offering their expertise from all over the world. Now those are real officials.

 

Our vendors offer real world solutions to your office challenges. Our trade show is the largest in the profession. We want to improve on this and help you to examine the equipment in your office with ease.  During this year, we will be working toward an equipment directory from our website and making a web page a necessary tool for your office.
